If you are a fan of Pia Toscano, we have both some good news and bad news for you on this Tuesday afternoon.

Let’s begin with the sadder story to get it largely over with — during a radio interview on WCBS FM this week, the former “American Idol” star said that her debut album with Interscope is going to be released at some point early next year. This certainly dashes the hopes of anyone who expected to hear the disc this year, but it also means that she is going to have more time to perfect the songs. Considering that Pia started work on the album while the show was still airing, she has had more time to prepare for her debut than any other season 10 alum. (She is still likely to get her album out before Haley Reinhart, mainly because we haven’t heard much of anything about when this will be released.

Pia attended New York’s annual Columbus Day Parade today, October 10. She sang I’ll Stand By You to more than 35,000 people. I’ve added 4 MQ photos to the gallery, and the video of her performance, be sure to check them out!

Last night Pia performed at the Hard Rock Cafe. She performed various songs from Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and her very own single This Time. Be sure to check out these videos that were posted on Youtube, she is amazing as always!

Kristin Cavallari is speaking up about DWTS’ Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano’s break up. Cavallari wants the world to know that she played no role in Ballas and Toscano’s split. Tabloids insinuated that the blonde beauty may have caused a wedge between her Dancing with the Stars partner and his former American Idol love. Of course, it’s not too hard to imagine something is there when Cavallari shows up to rehearsals braless. That definitely leaves many tongues wagging.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, Kristin said, “I think that is so unfair to drag me into that! Why should I be dragged into Mark’s drama? He’s like a brother to me and I would never go there.”

This wouldn’t be the first time the media conjured up a story where none exists. It is an effort to sell magazines or cause unnecessary drama. Now that Kristin Cavallari has put her foot down, one can only hope that Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano will also speak out and set the record straight on their break up.
